Dear Leader said that a Cambridge Police officer who arrested a belligerant Harvard professor acted "stupidly."

No, the officer was not acting stupidly; he was doing his job. If the prof wasn't a belligerant asshole, the situation probably wouldn't have gone down the way it did. It is interesting to note that the arrest record, which provides details regarding this incident, was "scrubbed" from the Boston Globe website, according to Matt Drudge. Why let the facts get in the way of a good story, right?

But, after all, Obama insulted the mentally and physically challenged by referring to his own bowling as "Special Olympics.". That insult, Mr. President, is acting stupidly.

Senator Inhofe is upset at the Obama administration sending out its cohorts to apologize for all of the evils committed by America over the years.

I think that global warming is just the tip of the iceberg (no pun intended).  In fact, I request that Secretary of State Clinton go around and apologize to desendents of neanderthals, who were supposedly the target of homo sapiens many many years ago.

As decendents of the early homo sapiens, we clearly took advantage of a docile, peaceful people through violence.  We murdered them and our society was permitted to develop in the way that it has through the violence and exploitation of our neanderthal forefathers.

I think it would only be proper to offer reparations to decendents of neanderthals, such as the GEICO cavemen.

Health Care Reform Is Now (a Skeleton) Key

Dear Leader now says that health care reform is the key to economic recovery. Really? I thought that tax cuts, job growth, consumer spending and a stable housing market would do the trick.

First, our Dear Leader (as a Senator) said that the first bailout in October 2008 is necessary to fix the economy. Then it was the $780+ billion bailout within weeks of his coronation.

Now, since none of those worked, it's health care reform. Spending trillions will save us from bankruptcy, as Biden put it.

What's really going on here is whenever the Dear Leader wants parts of his Leninist-Marxist-Stalinist-Trotskyist agenda passed, he calls it the "key" to economic recovery. The question is, what skeletons lurk in the closet?

Gary Locke Should Be Tried for Treason

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke was quoted as saying that Americans need to pay for the "greenhouse" gases that China produces.  Huh?  Who does this guy work for?  Why is he not charged with treason?  He'd rather subsidize Chinese industry than protect the interests of the American people?  Sounds like he's an agent of the Chinese government.  Charge him with treason and give him the Julius and Etherl Rosenberg treatment.

It's absolutely amazing to me that the US politicians will bend over backwards to avoid offending the Great Creditor of China, but will turn around and give a big "fuck you" to the American people by proposing the oppressive Cap and Trade supertax.  I guess the way to hold a politican by the nuts is to be a multi-billion dollar creditor of the US Government.

Good Riddance, Uncle Walter

As the pundits line up to hero-worship Dear Uncle Walter Cronkite, the best article that I have read about Uncle Walter comes from World Net Daily (courtesy of a link on Michael Savage's website) which informs us of some telling quotes from Cronkite:

"American people are going to begin to realize they are going to have to yield some sovereignty to an international body to enforce world law, and I think that's going to come to other people as well," he said. "It's a fair distance to get there, but we are not ever going to get there unless we keep trying to push ourselves onto the road."

That is so antithetical to what America stands for, it's appaling.  Where in the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution does it say that we should be willing to yield "some sovereignty" to an "international body" or world government, such as the UN? 

No, Uncle Walter, sovereignty comes from the people, in case you forgot.  It must also stay with the people - the sovereignty of Americans will not be yielded to anyone.  If it does, America will cease to exist on that day.

Burn in hell.

Foie Gras No More

(Not) shockingly, the new socialized health care plan being touted by the Democrats will raise the tax rate on the highest New York City wage earners to over 58%, the New York Post is reporting today.

Again, the fallacy behind eating the rich is that many, if not all, of the top wage earners don't need to work.  If they are taxed to the point where more than half of their earned income goes to the government, what's the pont?  If they have money, they don't need to work.  That means they don't earn income and won't pay income tax.

Tax revenues are down this year already.  Raising taxes to the point where the top wage earners say "basta" and stop working won't help.  Who get's stuck with the tab then?  The middle class - the people who need to work.

If Congress is not going to read bills before voting for them, maybe they should at least read Atlas Shrugged.

Update re: "Millionaires' Tax for Socialized Healthcare

CBS reporting that there will be a 1% tax on incomes of $280,000. Again, sounds like someone forgot a zero.

Why Socialism Just Never Seems to Work

Congress: Hmmm, how do we pay for socialized health care?  I know, let's tax the rich (again). 

The House has proposed a 5.4% "surcharge" for those who perform too well in their jobs and earn more than $1 million per year.

Problem - tax revenue was down 34% in April 2009 vs. April 2008.  Less money stolen by Congress means less money to spend on socialized health care.

Question - what happens when the taxing of the rich doesn't cover it?  Either the percentage of the tax goes up, or the definition of rich gets streched.  Look at New York - these geniuses were proposing a "millionaire's tax" on people who made $250,000 or more per year.  Huh?  Someone left off a zero somewhere.

When tax revenues are down, or when this experiment with socialized medicine proves to cost several times more than is "projected" today, the Government will just take more from the middle class (until they cease to be middle class because they're taxed into poverty).
